vcom 1250 designer point of view

Image
My designer was Yohji Yamamoto and it is one of the first project for the vcom 1250 class. I was able to salvage all of these fabric from the school library I did some rough layout of how i wanted to make my poster board during class The reference pictures that I will be using for the final project Sewed the fabrics together at home I decided to mirror the side from left to right because i kinda messed it up but stills works fine i think Anyway i also added that black with white stripe ribbons. I you havent noticed it yet,  those 3 white black with white stripes are suppose to be represent Y-3 Adidas symbol Here i added zippers and buttons. I glued the zippers down in a way that it can still function and if you havent caught it, the zippers are suppose to spell out "y" or at least half of it Y for Yohji Yamamoto Here's the final project.   ✎ From the ☾ moon that shines bright as a shooting star ☆

GNST 1230 Color wheel

Image
For my color and design class, my first project was to make a color wheel after sketching like 20 different ideas for the last week or so i scrapped it and went to something that i havent even thought of. I chose to use the head design of the chess pieces. and basically the idea behind it was to create two sets just as in black and white pieces (but in color) because this can lead into learning about complementary colors since the king lined up with the other king and so forth I think this was a good concept at the time and i still think it is given that i only had 2hrs of nap and 2hrs of sleep and running all day with just one meal and 3 cups of coffee =D ✎ From the ☾ moon that shines bright as a shooting star ☆

VCOM 2180 wall elevation

Image
Last week I have just started learning adobe illustrator. I was working with selection tool, direct selection tool, shape tools, and gradients. and tried to mess around with pen tool but failed. the first assignment was to create a wall elevation of an interior location. I was at a split decision of doing a wall elevation of Link's house from Legend of Zelda or Professor Oak's Laboratory from Pokemon. But in the end, I decided to go with Link's house from Legend of Zelda. I want to say this wasn't that bad (at this moment), but one day i'm going to look back at this and be like "what is this" And today for class, I learned to use alignment and pathfinder. I think i would have save time trying to figure stuff out if i knew this a week earlier. Either way this was fun even though I didnt get to sleep much >.< ✎ From the ☾ moon that shines bright as a shooting star ☆

First off, wow! Thank you for 10,000 view for my blog. I'll try to update more information about cosplay and now that I've started FIDM, I'll also try to post everything I can about the classes and experience as a FIDM student And quick update since the last post. I've finished working on the Free! Sailor top. (Tutorial coming soon) I've visited Fashion District in LA past weekend and got more fabric and trims. I was asked by one of my close sister for a Kiki's dress from Kiki's Delivery Service. Fortunately I was able to find that perfect dark purple fabric for Kiki's dress! I bought mine at  Sylvia's Fabric 841 S. Wall St. Los Angeles, CA 90014 www.sylviasfabrics.webs.com Tel/Fax: 213-627-6315 The cost of the fabric was $4.00 per yard. Quality of the fabric is really good. Total time it took me to make the dress was 12 hours. Bought 4yds of fabric = $12 Make patterns (Top, sleeves, Dress) Pin the

Before I made the shoes, the first thing that I made for Sailor Free! was their inner shirt. If you're wondering what I got the fabric, I bought it over at Fashion District in Los Angeles Michael Levine Inc. located at  920 So. MAPLE AVE.  Los Angeles, CA 90015 Phone: 213-622-6259 I bought the fabric for $3.00/yard and unfortunately that charged tax =( but hey with my friend and I we got 5.75yard for the total of ~$19 So out of all the things that were in needed to be made, this inner shirt seemed to be the easiest to begin with. First pin down the fabric (FYI try to match the stripes of the front and the back) I used a not too tight and not too loose fit tshirt and traced it around the fabric. Cut the pattern with some room around the traced line Reminder: Don't sew the arm and neck holes together hem in the edges so they don't flare out (necklines, bottom or the shirt, sleeves) And here is my blue and white stripe inn
