Mulan Nesting Doll

Image
My friends and I needed a day for crafting and what not So yesterday we drag out the fabric from her storage and I decided to make Mulan Nesting Doll It took forever to decide what to make But once I set my mind to making Mulan nesting doll everything else was fun... Well almost fun.. All the fabrics fray and the small pieces were freaking annoying. Either way it has been a while since I last hand sew. yes this nesting doll was entirely hand sew gathering stuff here and there rough sketch Patterns to colors Simple layout of all the pieces Sew on the small pieces to the front Because it was so rounded all around, slits were made Front Back ✎ From the ☾ moon that shines bright as a shooting star ☆

Cosplay: Vanellope von Schweetz Skirt Zipper

Image
Last week an anonymous left a comment on  Vanellope reese's cup skirt  post about how I connected my skirt. With chance, I also had to fix my skirt. So here's a quick tutorial of what I did for finishing up the skirt. This is my original size.  I had to reduce it by 7 pleats Got a zipper from Joann's The x marks the spot for the other side of the skirt to flap over Testing the location of how I want to sew on the zipper Simple stitch going across the zipper.  Getting it ready to sew on the machine. Hook & eye used for the skirt. Sew the zipper Hand sew hook and eye And there you have it.  It not oh so obvious as to where the skirt starts and end. I like how it turned out =D ✎ From the ☾ moon that shines bright as a shooting star ☆

Throwback Thursday

Image
So back in high school Sophomore year when I was taking a Geometry class  I had one project to do. There were a lot of choices to choose from but I decided to work with "Ratios"  I picked my sample from Cloud Strife's Fusion Sword Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Play arts action figure If I remember it correctly, The ratio was 1:10 Needless to say, this was like my first "Prop" in making and I had so much fun!! And my Side story with this was... I was worried about taking this to school because it was a "Weapon" and you know school does not allow any type of weapon. But on the other hand it was a school project... Anyways, when I got to school my brother and his friends decided to give a swing at it and my heart almost burst out because the styrofoam that I was using were very weak and flimsy. In the end, it made it to my math class in one piece and got good grade on it =D (So maybe this was my calling...
